Litter issues have gotten better since the 70's, but East Asheville still looks messy most of the time... especially noticeable when walking.

Western North Carolina is cursed with litter, but blessed with people working to keep it clean. The Litter Warriors page is the place to get involved in litter cleanups, point out places that need cleaning up and thank those who do so.

Quality Forward needs volunteers!

We would love to have volunteers help Sunday, June l5 – if you help for one shift then you get to go on the tour for the other shift – you can help all day or for couple of hours – we will find out what you most want to do then assign you to a particular location at a garden. Please let us know as soon as possible so we can divide everyone up.

Volunteer opps: Fruit trees and bike paths

Hey fruit lovers,
Letting you know that this Saturday, May 24th at 9:00 a.m. we will convene at the Edible Park in downtown Asheville to celebrate its 10th year. QF calls for Downtown After 5 help ...

Quality Forward is helping Downtown After 5 green the event through help with composting, through the Strive Not to Drive bike corral, aaaand through volunteers?? Thanks, Dave. I was at a retreat this weekend, but I've seen lots of orange bags around town, especially near the Shell station at the Merrimon/I240 exit. It looks like it was a huge success.
